Privacy Policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

Bramsauga United is a community soccer club based in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario. We only collect the personal information we need to run the club, and we never sell it. This policy explains what we collect through bramsaugaunited.ca, why, and the choices you have — in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

01. What we collect

When you apply for a membership on our membership page, we collect:

  • your first and last name, email address and phone number;
  • your date of birth and home address;
  • the membership type you chose and any note you add;
  • the screenshot of your Interac e-Transfer, as proof of payment.

When you just browse the site, we don’t ask for anything. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.

02. How we use it

  • to process your membership and confirm your e-Transfer arrived;
  • to keep an accurate list of club members and when each membership expires;
  • to contact you about your membership and club activities;
  • to check eligibility for age-based categories (for example, 30+ Veterans).

03. Payments

Membership fees are paid by Interac e-Transfer through your own bank. This website never sees or stores card or bank account details. The e-Transfer screenshot you upload is used only to match your payment, and is visible only to authorised club administrators — never on the public site.

04. Who can see your information

Your details are visible only to club board members and administrators who manage memberships. Each new submission is also emailed to the club’s email inbox so it can be verified.

We use a few trusted service providers to run the site, which store or process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel — website hosting;
  • Neon — the database where club records are stored;
  • Google (Gmail) — delivering membership notification emails.

These providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We don’t sell, rent or share your information with anyone else for marketing.

05. Photos and videos

We share photos and videos from tournaments, matches and community events in our gallery, news posts, Club TV and social media. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, email us at bramsaugafc2022@gmail.com and we’ll take it down.

06. Cookies

The public site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t run analytics. A sign-in cookie is used only for club administrators in the admin area. Video thumbnails on Club TV load from YouTube, and links to YouTube, Facebook and Instagram take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

07. How long we keep it

We keep membership records for as long as you’re a member, and for a reasonable period afterwards for the club’s financial and administrative records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, unless we need to keep it for those records.

08. Members under 18

If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should complete the membership form on your behalf.

09. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent and have it deleted. Email bramsaugafc2022@gmail.com.

If you’re not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
